The Jude are a London-based band who describe their sound as “vicious skiffle” - punchy, energetic music to get you dancing. Latest single 'Heartbreaker' was released on 12 March 2012, described by XFM's John Kennedy as "excellent". The Jude's debut release ‘Ha Ha Goodbye’ charted in the iTunes Alternative Chart at #8 in April 2011. The chart positions carried radio strength with XFM playlisting; and XFM’s John Kennedy, 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and BBC Radio London’s Gary Crowley all championing the track with frequent airplay. Follow-up single ‘Les Filles Francaises’ received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, XFM, video rotation on NME TV, was made Record of the Day and featured in Music Week Presents. The song was also Huw Stephen's 'Tip of the Week' on Tom Robinson's BBC Introducing show. Later in Feb 2012 'Les Filles Francaises' was added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist for a week; being played by Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills, Dev, Greg James, Huw Stephens, Edith Bowman, and Nick Grimshaw & Annie Mac. The energy in The Jude’s music transmits amazingly live too; having played festivals such as Standon Calling, Friends of Mine, Boardmasters, and Lodestar. With all this and new single 'Heartbreaker' released on 12 March 2012, The Jude are proving they are a fresh and exciting act that are here for the long run.

The Jude, sounding mighty fine Huw Stephens - BBC Radio 1 The excellent new single by The Jude - 'Heartbreaker' John Kennedy - XFM X-posure Great stuff... that is what I call a debut calling card Gary Crowley - BBC London FM The Jude, a band to look out for Fearne Cotton - BBC Radio 1 This four-piece indie-pop-punk band are getting great reviews for their energetic performances, promising electricity laden songs and have been described as showing off a sound described as Kings Of Leon meets delta blues and 60s rock The Fly I just love this track, I think it's brilliant Greg James - BBC Radio 1 Songs that catch you from the get go and keep you coming back for more. It's 'vicious skiffle', it's fresh and it's ready to change the face of rock 'n' roll. 13/13 RoomThirteen I reckon I'd really like to see them perform live Dev - BBC Radio 1 'Heartbreaker' - this frenetic jerky track is an instant classic Chris Phillips - BRFM An element of power pop about this band redolent of the late seventies and early eighties Steve Lamacq - 6 Music 'Heartbreaker' is packed with all of the urgency and energy of that great early blues-based British rock sound dialed into a more modern palette a la The Arctic Monkeys. BlahBlahBlahScience ‘Ha Ha Goodbye’ is a fantastic slice of energetic UK Rock’n'Roll. It’s upbeat, optimistic and a great chunk of guitar-driven sunshine. Given the right airplay, it could very well become the anthem for summer 2011 New Reviews Cool, quirky and chic. Go check them out Aaron Philips - Amazing Radio They created an irresistible mix. Their songs were pop stompers – all choruses, melody and guitar intensity.... a bright future for this band MusicRooms
