From the dark recesses of the ancient kingdom of Funk, to the ethereal heights and soaring melodies of the upper Folkworld, three intrepid and slightly middle class men built an intergalactic bridge, forging for the first time an unbreakable bond of music. .. Their vision: to spread all that is good, true, and beautiful about the Funk-Folk Collision. .. Jetson burst onto the London music scene in April 2009. The band’s unique blend of sharp and slinky beats with delicate, soaring melodies defined an exciting new sound among guitar-led bands: Funk-Folk rock. Still fresh out the blocks, they have already developed a large and diverse following and gained a reputation for packing out London's hottest venues. Mahiki, China White, 100 Club and Indigo2 at the O2 Arena have all been filled to capacity and put under the Jetson Funk-Folk spell. .. On their way they have caught the attention of Jamie Callum, Felix Howard of EMI and have recently supported new chart sensations Graffitti6. The energy and power of their live shows has been winning them rave reviews, both in the music press, and in the wider field, including a recent feature on the Visit London website praising their performance at the 100 Club: .. "It’s hard to believe they only formed a year ago – already their sound is confident, with a certainty of style you’d expect from a more mature band... ...Jump on the Jetson bandwagon. Having already played The O2 in their first year who knows where they’ll be in a year’s time?" .. Jetson's demo has been receiving FM airplay across Europe and North America and has been winning praise across the industry press including a recent glowing review on music magazine "The Mag" which rated it 4.5 out of 5: .. "Jetson want to spread all that is good, true and beautiful about the Funk-Folk Collision and that's exactly what they do with these three classic songs... ...If you get a chance to catch Jetson playing these songs live, don't pass it up. This is a well-accomplished record with lots to offer." .. On the back of this success they headed into the studio to record their first EP at Toby Smith's (Jamiroquai) new studio complex in Banbury. The EP was engineered and produced by Matt Foster (the engineer behind the recent number 1 hit "Green Light") and mastered by Andy Walters at Abbey Road Studio.
